Each year, AIDA holds several networking events throughout regional Australia for our current and potential members. We also organise a large annual professional development and networking event in one of Australia’s larger cities each year, which includes various workshops covering a range of topics for both students and doctors. Once a year, AIDA’s Board of Directors visits a rural or remote Indigenous community as part of its Engagement Strategy. AIDA is also a member organisation of the Pacific Region Indigenous Doctors Congress (PRIDoC), a biannual event that provides an indigenous space, for indigenous doctors, medical students, health professionals, health researchers and medical educators from around the Pacific to discuss ideas, action and evidence that is transforming indigenous health.
