It’s Conference time and the office is buzzing! Secretariat staff are busy finalising registrations, travel and program activities for what’s shaping up to be another great AIDA conference. We have a full program rich in scientific, cultural and practical content as well as dynamic keynote speakers who will challenge the status quo, inviting innovation and forward thinking in healthcare.
With over 400 registered delegates this is a great opportunity to develop new, and strengthen existing networks, so make sure you meet someone new every day! In AIDA tradition, members are encouraged to participate in the yarning circles to share views and thoughts on the topic of the day.
Don’t forget to catch up with our Board and Secretariat who will be out and about at the conference. As work commences on our new strategic plan, we are keen to hear member views on the future direction of AIDA and how we can continue being a progressive organisation.
Let’s not forget our conference partners, I would like to extend our thanks to our major sponsors RACGP, RACS, HETI and RACP and RANZCP. It is the generosity and support of all sponsors that enables AIDA to deliver a high-quality event each year, importantly sponsorship provides support for students and junior medical officers to attend this conference. I encourage delegates to find out more about our sponsors through the conference app and to take time to visit sponsors in the exhibition hall during the conference.
If we haven’t met please come and introduce yourself to me, I am very much looking forward to meeting members and delegates. Finally, don’t forget to catch a sunset, I hear they are amazing.
