Once a year, AIDA’s Board of Directors visits a rural or remote Indigenous community as part of its Engagement Strategy.
The Board holds meetings with community leaders and organisations, and visits the local school to talk with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students about pathways into medicine, and the possibility of becoming doctors or working in health related fields.
Communities that the AIDA Board has visited:
2016: Yarrabah, QLD
2015: Kalaya Children’s Centre, SA
