We are excited to announce the launch of the AIDA2021 Roadshow! And registrations will open on Thursday, 15 April.
As we continue to live in an uncertain environment, where borders close and travel restrictions are imposed at short notice, we are taking our annual conference on the road in 2021. The Roadshow will replace our annual three-day conference, with six impactful face-to-face events held nationally. We are certain we will bring the magic of the AIDA conference again, just in a unique way for 2021.
We understand how important it is for our members to engage with each other in a face-to-face environment. The Roadshow Series offers an inclusive, accessible and safe way for our members to meet.
|Yugambeh Country (Gold Coast)||1-2 July 2021||2 day event||RACV, Royal Pines Resort|
|Wurundjeri Country (Melbourne)||23-24 July 2021||2 day event||Melbourne Convention Centre|
|Kaurna Country (Adelaide)||14-15 August 2021||1.5 day event||Hilton Adelaide|
|Noongar Country (Perth)||28-29 August 2021||1.5 day event||Perth Convention Centre|
|Larrakia Country (Darwin)||18-19 September 2021||1.5 day event||DoubleTree by Hilton Esplanade Darwin|
|Gadigal Country (Sydney)||24-25 September 2021||2 day event||SMC Conference and Function Centre|
The two-day events at the Gold Coast, Melbourne and Sydney will feature speaker presentations, workshops, cultural sessions, Growing our Fellows, an exhibition, an evening function, ceremonies for our medical graduates and fellows, and importantly, the long-awaited opportunity to network in a face-to-face environment.
The one and a half-day events in Darwin, Perth and Adelaide will feature everything the two-day events do, except for the exhibition and Growing our Fellows.
We will conduct the 2021 AIDA Awards at the final event to be held in Sydney.
We are extremely excited about the possibilities and the opportunities the Roadshow presents, and to offer a format that enables more of our members to meet face to face in the prevailing circumstances.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Conference Theme – Powerful Voice
|Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander doctors have the privilege and fortune of having a voice in improving the health of our people. There is an enormous challenge ahead, and we must all raise our voices to affect change. In order to have a Powerful Voice, AIDA works with our Aboriginal community-controlled health sector, with our people and communities across Australia, and with non-Indigenous people and organisations who will lend their voice to the task.|
Partnerships – NOW OPEN
We are pleased to unveil a new offering of partner packages in 2021. These packages offer greater value and diversity to our partners and something to suit all budgets and levels of participation. We always afford our past partners first opportunity to take the package they held the previous year. With this year’s changes to our partner opportunities, we will work with our 2019 partners first to find them the most similar opportunity.

Abstracts – NOW OPEN
At AIDA20-21 we want to hear from doctors, researchers, students, medical bodies and organisations who are leading in their work to improve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, and health workforce – to form a Powerful Voice for change.
AIDA seeks submissions that highlight best practice, evidence-based approaches, local or community-led solutions to address local issues.
Student and JMO Funding – NOW OPEN
AIDA Indigenous medical student members and Indigenous Junior Medical Officers (JMO/PGY1) members can apply for a supported place to attend the Roadshow in their closest city.
